Did anyone think the Facebook phone would be a success? Ever since I heard Facebook was coming out with a dedicated phone I knew it would flop. Everybody I know hates Facebook, and are only hanging around because everybody else is there.

Besides, I do believe HTC was paid by Facebook to produce these phones. If they weren't paid, they'll just reflash and sell them as regular Androids. Happened before withone of their WP7 offerings.

This is EXACTLY the observation and opinion I have as well. Google at least gives you choices for privacy and the ability to export and cut ties altogether--but Facebook has been overtly invasive and keeps acting as if they just KNOW you love sharing all of your personal information with them and the world, good or bad--they just KNOW it and insist on making sure you do just that. Who in their right mind would want to have their Launcher replaced with Facebook Home, much less get a whole phone designed around their business practices?
