As disable desktop applications open when there is no open?

If you mean that you would like to not see or have to swipe through the task manager pane when there are no applications open, I would have to say there's no way to do it.

The Harmattan desktop is closed, so modifying it in this manner would seem to be out of reach.

you have a point.. even N900 disables Taskmanager when No Apps Running..

Have you ever attempted to reverse engineer and then change a compiled binary with no access to the source code? That's what it means to try and change closed source code.

Anyone who dismisses the enormity of such an endeavor as a mere eventual "mod" shows great disrespect to those who contribute actual mods, hacks, and code development to the community.

IMHO, even i respect a coder who makes even a little program in BASIC doing "1+1".. but OP has a valid point... and since its somehow dependent on NOKIA... we can say "its neva gonna happen"

It would be useful in eliminating the need to swipe through an empty desktop pane in the likely event that no running apps are open at the time.


Less swiping = faster useage
