my usb networking stopped working on my N800 with Diablo so I was trying to reinstall dbus-scripts. I got an error that it could not be installed. Then showed me a broken app in application manager. I finally removed it with dpkg --purge command. Now I am unable to install the dbus-scripts deb. It keeps saying "unable to install" I even tried to install it using "apt-get install dbus-scripts" but I get an error: Can you guru's help me out? Here is the error from xterm:

/home/user # apt-get install dbus-scripts
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package dbus-scripts is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package dbus-scripts has no installation candidate

Did you try installing it from the .deb directly? I know the one that's in the repo's has been up and down and flaky (at one point it wasn't installable at all!). If not, try this file directly and see if it installs:

Thanks,
