Finally a successful attempt at bringing a full blown OS to an 8 inch tablet. It has about the same thickness and form factor as an iPad mini, sports the brand new quad core Bay Trail Atom processor, has an amazing battery life of approx. 10 hours. And last but not least it comes with x86 Windows 8 which allows to install any software you want.

It has a gorgeous 8 inch 1280x800 capacative screen with an Active Digitizer overlay for a precision stylus.

Also, the Bay Trail processor in it is capable of running a handful of demanding PC games like Starcraft II, Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2 etc.

Imagine running linux or an IDE on this beauty.

Programming on the go!

Really considering this as soon as it hits the European market.

EDIT: It's only $299

I've had my eye on it for a while. Definitely one I would like to feel in my hand before purchasing.

Out of all the 8 inch w8 tablets that are coming around, this is the prettiest. The other ones are just too thick and really look hideous.

However, the Venue 8 pro unfortunately has no hdmi out like the Acer Iconia W4. Even tough the W4 is an amazing tablet too it's just too thick and ugly as well.
