I recently found an interesting blog showing tips for sailfish development:
http://sailfishdev.tumblr.com/

I would like to use some of this code in my app, but since I plan to release my app as open source I would like to be sure that the code I copy from this blog actually is open sourced. The blog doesn't mention anything about license for the published code examples so I assume that the intention is that the code is free to use.

However, according to https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...shed-at-github:

Code without an explicit license is protected by copyright and is by default All Rights Reserved. The person or people who wrote the code are protected as such. Any time you're using software you didn't write, licensing should be considered and abided.
Does anyone here know how to get in contact with the person behind the blog?

I believe this blog is maintained by @coderus, but it cotains code from various developers, for example @kimmoli
So, You could ask @coderus who is originating author of specific codelines, and get permission fromeach developer individually.

this blog is exactly for developers, who want to get solutions an ideas, and it's free to use in any of your projects. I can add a note about it to a site if you really need it
