STATUS: Booted, first time had mountall error, second time successful
REVISION: unversioned, based on 57, all changes up to 68 performed using just_chroot.sh
MICROSD: 16 Gb, class 6
BOOTLOADER: U-Boot pr13
OPTIONS:
selected_image_source: ubuntu-daily
selected_firmware_source:nothing
dist_upgrade:1
selected_kernel:nemo
boot_parameters:root=/dev/mmcblk0p3 rootwait console=tty0 omapfb.vram=0:2M,1:2M,2:2M mtdoops.mtddev=2 nosplash elevator=noop debug panic=20 --no-log
nemo_packages:kernel-adaptation-n900-2.6.37-10.3.Nemo.Adaptation.N900.armv7hl.rpm
Touchscreen is upside down, there was no initial configuration = no user. Reverting script to manual user creation. Keymap didn't load. And Unity-2D doesn't load completely.
Note: I've installed only one package from Nemo.
Now someone has to try it with 11.10 image.

PanzerSajt have similar problem. Are you using x64?

Well, my problem turned to be scratchbox, apparently in sb environment incorrect qemu is called. Luckily I had harmattan SDK installed under vmware VM, after clean installaion of 12.04 in that machine everything worked (as installation script I mean )

So prepping the card on N900 alone will need a lot of tinkering. Btw, wouldn't it skip qemu while on device? Why simulate arm if you have it natively? Going to report soon on 11.10/nemo

Edit: or not, latest qemu on 11.04 is 0.14.0, forcing 0.14.1 gave me quite bad results, going to try on 12.04 fresh install, though it will take considerable amount of time

I've updated desktop to 11.10 (qemu 0.14.1) which got rid of the qemu segfault. Now it always errors out after vmlinuz copying (at least on nemo kernel with different combinations of meego/nothing firmware, kubunutu 11.10/kubuntu daily/mobile, selected defaults from nemo/only kernel):

`/media/source/vmlinuz' -> `/mnt/vmlinuz'
chroot: failed to run command `/tmp/install-chroot-part.sh': No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat `/mnt/boot.scr': No such file or directory

Going to retry from bzr branch.

I've installed Ubuntu daily with the lates rev (69).
2.6.35 kernel
Pali's uboot with bootmenu.
If I simply boot it with opened keyboard and the back cover on it gives me kernel panic error:

But if I boot it without the back cover it boots into this state:

I hope this problem can be easily solved.

That first shot/error looks exactly like the one I had every 2nd boot with 11.10 and .35 kernel. Try booting twice in the same conditions?

I have tried 5 time but still no succes. Which U-boot were you using?
Pali's Uboot with bootmenu or U-boot pr1.3?

And which installer version were you using?

Standard one without bootmenu (pr13?). It was around revision 54, now with rev 69 script is failing for me at install-chroot-part all the time.

Brief status:
Running lxdm and lxde on top of 12.04 with nemo kernel, it's stable enough, haven't seen oopses for days now. Installed only kernel and n900-configs package (fixes keymap, finally) from nemo. Feel free to experiment with other RPMs.
If you don't see any images (like png, jpg, etc.), try
Code:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0
