I actually feel the need to sync everyday remotely files from my homeserver to N900, my laptop and my desktop.
I have used for a while a cloud system but I don't want to give my personal files to others.

Actually I use rsync as I already used it and works on N900.

I'm just wondering if someone have any better idea and why.

I'm aware there are lots of cloud sync apps for Maemo but that is not what I'm looking for.

I saw Unison for N810 but is this avaiable to N900?

Have you tried to run the N810 version of unison? Some of the N810 applications work on the N900 without any changes.

Actually haven't tried yet because I found it just today, it requires same version for client and server, and I'm trying to sync to my dd-wrt router rather than my homeserver in order to reduce power drain (so I need to use something can compile on mips with low ram).

As for now I'm just probing for new ideas then I will try.

Hvae you ever tryed this http://www.dirsyncpro.org/

I have used the above tool several times. It worked great.
You can have several profiles and sync methods. I remember that I used to use sshfs for remote sync.
