Sorry if posted or if I should have posted else where. I installed Canola2 with 2007HE and it will not start. I rebooted uninstalled reinstalled still will show loading and that is it. Any ideas?

Try opening xterm and running canola from there to see the error output. What method did you use to install it? Did you follow these: http://openbossa.indt.org.br/canola/...second_he.html ?

ok I did thru xterm and get a bunch of plugin errors. I first installed via maemo. uninstalled that and then followed the way you recommended. still same results.

Have you tried the canola clean up application? Also, to install I would advise disabling all repositories except for:
1. http://repository.maemo.org/ gregale free non-free
2. http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ gregale free non-free

Make sure its just those with gregale. Then, in the application manager, find canola through the "new applications" and install through there, instead of using the canola website link.

Will I get the cleanup app when I add those repositories?

Yes I think so, also canola needs to be installed for it to install/run.

no, you need to uninstall the canola 1 if you have it, then run the canola cleanup, then reboot(I don't know if it is necessary, but do it), then install the Canola 2.

well I wanted to try the 2008HE so I installed that and used the gregale ones and it installed fine. Thanks for the help

The problem of 2008HE is that the volume is so low, and it is not that useful for media play back.
