Hello All,

I though I would get some feed back from the community about this hack of a rss reader i wrote for Opera and the n800. This program relies heavily on two of google API's , GWT and the Google Feed API.

The reader is *very* pre-release software and has the following major issues:
-No editing of your feeds, you must manually edit the OMPL file.
-Going backwards only works for the feed your are currently in.
-The marking of 'read' items is buggy - especially items that have no date.
-An Opera bug that freeze the 'next' button. It seems to crop up when Opera is downloading images ect...
-It has no connection to your Google Reader account
-lots of exception Alert boxes
-The UI is really ugly ;-]

you can install a compiled version on the n800 file system and access it via

file:///media/mmcX/[unpackdir]/Gui.html

you can also try an online version (via my DSL connection)

http://gwak.dyndns.org/n800/Gui.html

you can download the source / binary at:

http://gwak.dyndns.org/n800/n800-reader.tar [source]
http://gwak.dyndns.org/n800/n800-reader-bin.tar [binary]

the target OMPL file is named: ompl.xml

let me know what you think!

build requirements:
GWT http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/

Java
http://java.sun.com

Possibly:
i have a key registered with google's feed api. I am unsure how strict they are about requests coming from other hosts.

if there are problems you can swap my key with yours here:
./n800/reader/public/Gui.html

you can obtain a key here:
http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxfeeds/
