Linked from Ari's latest blog post is http://browser.garage.maemo.org/ which contains an install for a new Mozilla-based browser for the N800. It supports AJAX and plenty of other features, as you can see on the site.

This is a great step to replacing more and more of the closed source apps.

So... those of you that found sites that didn't work before, please give them a shot now and list them below.

Pownce now works perfectly fine... I can now post on it natively on the N800.

Ok wow, I am impressed. Opera 8 was my biggest sticking point on the N800... it just wasn't up to date.

This is finally the direction Nokia needed to take... Finally a desktop browsing experience that Opera wasn't providing. I may hang onto my tablet after all. Flash 9 and Gecko 1.9.

works remarkably well!

I would just like a port of the VLC player and the embedded plug-in. In linux it works perfectly for watching WMV files

This just might be the reason to upgrade to the new firmware.

For some reason, I can't start a new thread, so I'm hijacking this one. If there is any reason I have transgressed, please let me know!

Anyway, take a look at http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4423362. The Nokia 8600 Luna has a number of features I would like, in particular java support.

Holy crap, talk about coming out of nowhere...first the RTCOMM beta and now this.
So far everything I've tried with Google just works.
Combine that with the recent RTCOMM beta SIP/VoIP development and Skype and my tablet can now be for Internet: Serious Business™.
Looks like the N800 is starting to take off.

There's already an mplayer plugin for Firefox on Linux that works quite well. I can't wait to see it integrated.

Wow! Flash? I wasn't expecting that.
