Is there a way to watch TV (over the air channels) on N8*0 tablet using USB TV tuners? Did anybody tried this? Is there any s/w available?

A European mobile digital TV standard (DVB-H, I think?) has been used successfully; you can search for that. Other encodings with similar bandwidth should be plausible as well, if the tuners are supported under Linux and don't offload too much work to the CPU. With DVB, mplayer was used.

I watch TV on my N800 but I use ORB to stream the live tv from my home pc. It works really well if you have a computer with broadband and a tuner in it and you don't mind leaving it on all the time. I use my desktop as a dedicated DVR so it works well for me. I can watch anything that's playing on cable plus all the stuff I have recorded. Works great.

Yes, I do the same way with ORB, too. Now I can even connect to my 3G phone and I can watch TV anywhere I have either 3g signal or WIFI.
