This hardly deserves confirmed tag.
Just because some exec from 60 000 employed Nokia said this was happening, does not mean it actually will. I can't even remember how many times similar rumors were started by region specific executives in the old Nokia. Just to end up being nothing.

Also the 12 billion euro purchase of Alcatel-Lucent is pretty clear indication where Nokia is focusing. Even more so as it is officially selling HERE.

Nokia might use Foxconn build devices with Nokia Research attached features to showcase them with the intent to license them further. On consumer space Nokia might be more of a engineering house.

Even if they released a new Android, what's the difference with the existing Android phones? It won't have a keyboard nor 41mp camera so why we need another?! I would save money pay more intension on the potential Jolla 2 and the BlackBerry slider instead. Have a strong feeling that this will be another ugly piece looks like another copy of iJunk as the N1.

even if there was, they'd use Android, make no mistake about that. and once you've used one Android phone you've used them all.

The above is the only stuff that's needed, the rest that you listed are unnecessary distractions (and indeed Nokia had already attempted some of them in the form of the short-lived Ovi)

For me the Ovi Store payment system that Nokia had (ie charged to your phone bill) worked better for me because:

a) I don't want to use a credit card
b) I was able to buy pre-paid sims at up to 80% discount on the stored values and use those to pay for apps (which effectively meant I was able to get up to 5 apps for the price of 1)

You do realize it is not the brilliancy of the gadget that matters now.
