it is good to see that someone is interested in music production here. I love to use mobile, portable devices to produce.
I was trying to get fasttracker working in dosbox, but no luck. unfortunately I dont remember what went wrong. also no luck with sunvox on garnet vm, it doesnt working at all.

Just an idea, is there a nintendo ds emulator for n900? & if so is ds10 (from korg) & electroplankton available? there is some cool youtube vids of these running on the DS, but i dont know if they would transfer over.

OK.
So does the sound not work at all in E.Debian on the N900?
Followed the wiki instructions for ALSA setup which did not work (must be doing something wrong).
The pulse audio setup worked and can play mp3s, so do get some sound.
If ALSA setup had worked, wouldn't I get sound in LMMS.
(I installed LMMS for E.Debian using the package manager - works fine - minus the sound)

Dunno if the OP is even still checking this thread, but I put in a request for SchismTracker on the N810. They have it on the todo list on the Schism wiki, but I doubt it will ever happen. If you can code, you can probably port it yourself. I'd like that so I could listen to all my tracked music on the go. ;D

Sunvox is out now and it is free for the N900
..with has a lot of synths,effects
and a nice gui

and you have to install libgles1 by "apt-get install libgles1"
you may have to deactivate all repositorys except of the nokia system one..
now we have a very nice synth for the n900:-)
