I'm trying to get claws email to work with gmail IMAP.

I can receive and view emails, but, when I try to send them it acts strange.

If I send an email where the body of the message simply has one word, like "test" it works fine. But if there are a couple paragraphs it seems to stall and fail without saying message sent, but, sometimes it has broken up the text and sent out a series of messages each only a few words long. If you strung the text from all these messages you would get the full message. Another time they didn't actually go out, but, where waiting in the que.

I first noticed this using one SMTP port setting so I picked another one I found suggested. I sent me one word message which worked and I thought I had fixed the problem, but, when I tried to send a real message the problem was still there.

IMAP4
SSL - Use SSL for IMAP4 connections

Send(SMTP)
Use STARTTLS command to start SSL session

Use non-blocking SSL is checked

Advanced
SMTP Port - 587
IMAP4 Port - 003

Can anyone help?

TIA
