Anyone used Xperia Companion to downgrade to marshmallow?
Downgrading is no problem at all

Assuming that you want to downgrade to back up your drm-keys this guide is the way to go.

EDIT: The poster of that guide has terrible google-fu. A marshmallow ftf can be found here (source)
EDIT2: Much faster mirror

Not just US. I got the same in the UK, despite being still in the EU.
I took it to mean that everyone gets that and that the page is simply just a placeholder until it gets updated.

No, it's not. There's a USE VOUCHER button for EU users.

PS Install Tor Browser.

It's exactly pressing that button that gives me that "not available in your country" page.

Why??? I am not trying to hide anything. I want to legally buy a product offered by a company based in the same trading bloc.

EDIT:
My apologies, I realized the problem was that I work for an American company and all our internet connection is VPNed through Boston. Trying on my phone connected through my 3G operator showed the "ahoy" page.

Does anyone have a Sony Xperia X who has yet to unlock the bootloader?

Apparently if you OTA update to version 34.3 it *should* remove the need for Emma/Flashtool when installing Sailfish X.

But once the bootloader is unlocked you stop getting OTA, so none of us have managed to test it yet...

So the procedure is to OTA update all the way, then unlock the bootloader and install Sailfish X

Anyone willing to try this out for us?

I still need to buy one the coming days, so if nobody else tried it in the meantime, I will for sure.

You mean that if we didn't unlock the bootloader, and continue updating with OTA update (Android), the bootloader will be updated and we will able to fastboot blobs?

Yes, hopefully this will allow the oem partition to be flashed via fastboot once the bootloader is unlocked.
