I thought it would display all traffic since last reset. Thanks for clarifying.

So I don't know, maybe should do exactly as you wrote.

I think it would make more sense that way. (Maybe just me)

Other thing: Could you please add a road map (describing which features/bugfixes etc you are working on and planning) on either on the first post of this thread or project website or even both? It would be quite helpful for testing and transparency.

I've just installed QNetMan from extras-testing and it works fine.

I would like to see additionally in the Settings pane under "Network interfaces" in the left under wlan0 (and the others) the local IP address displayed, would this be possible? It would be nice if the IP were shown directly under the MAC address there...

thanks for the great app!

I've thought about it. I want to make a ChangeLog on the project site. But I had doubts whether to do it.

Further development plan: Now I'm trying to do to QNetMan supported portrait mode. But I think that it will be ready after my vacation.

Thank you. Good idea, I'll do it in a future release.

Hi everyone. I am new to the forum and I have obviously a N900 that I love and use daily for lots of things - music, pictures, socialising, etc.
However, I am getting into network analysis to study how network traffic is packaged and txf/rcvd.
I love qnetman. It's a great application. The widget is a great little piece of software to help me monitor and count the number of packets I receive, especially from my telco (to avoid bill shock!).
However, I do not know how to reset the counters in the widget. I suspect it's a matter of deleting the log files? Could someone please help me understand how to reset the counters in the widget please?

Also, as a suggestion, could it be possible to have qnetman start recording on a given date/time and told to stop after a certain time - like a day, week, month, years, etc? It would be great to have this feature so you can see in segments / blocks what amount of traffic was received/sent during the period as a single graph.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, elcaito ! To reset the counter on the widget does not need to delete any files.
Open the widget settings and click the "Network Interfaces"

Press the "Reset the counter of bytes on ..." you can reset the counter for each network interface

Wow! Yes! Thank you. Silly of me.

Any comment on my other suggestions though?

Ever heard of cron/alarmed? Now you have to figure out if qnetman supports dbus commands etc.
