I just started playing the Ovi BG and discovered the same above probs - dissapearing tiles, and full crash at endgame. Talk about a sore loser!! lol

As to other playable versions, so far I've found a backgammon game playable for Game Boy Color, ("Backgammon), Game Boy Advance ("Board Game Classics"), and Sega's Game Gear ("5-in-1 Fun Pack"). There may be others

Update to above post: Game Boy Advance has a game titled "Ultimate Brain Games" with a very slick and powerful backgammon game. It also plays chess, checkers, battleship, 4-across, dominoes, reversi, and mahjong! And quite well I might add...
