Is USB Host Mode possible on N9/N950?
Maybe with inception/open kernel?

I couldn't find anything for Harmattan about this...

Would be great to see some awesomeness from the N900 also on the N9/N950

IIRC those who were working on it have abandoned the project...

the best hope is someone skilled enough from the community to be interested in starting this again...

As far as I know, everything about host mode on N9(50) is there, but I'm affraid what Thedead1440 said is true, I've not seen it really progress since the first day I've had a N9 into my hands.

Guess it's time to revive it

I'll like to donate to the ones who will pickup the project!

Will it benefit Nemo/Mer on N9(50) as well?

Guys, there's no USB Host/OTG port on the N9.

Try plugging a USB Host cord in and it doesn't fit.

Eh? The USB Host cord is just a microUSB plug, just like for the N900, or most newer phones out there.

I wonder about this from time to time as well. I thought it was one of the official features at one point, but sadly no, the N900 and N9 were shafted by Nokia in this way. I think the earlier NITs had it though, right?

that's made just for folks that would turn usb host mode on and plug phone to pc or charger....
shape of cable connector doesn't matter...well, for some it does and for them it's better to not have usb host mode in alpha or even beta phase...
there's working usb host mode for n950, just, it's not in wildness because it's "alpha" and folks can mess up really bad...
