Seems like I found the bug. Swyping in german kills the keyboard, for whatever reason. Is there any way to reinstall the german dictionary?

Moo, reinstallation worked, swype still does not in german.

so do I. Maybe reflashing might work but meh, sooo much work just for swype. maybe someone else has an idea? thanks for your great support anyway

Swiping in german works fine for me.
Did you try to remove the config folder as well?

thank you so much, clearing the config file did work. You guys are one of the reasons I gifted my galaxy s2 to my nephew and keep using this awesome phone =)
