...and WP can? Please, keep ignoring the WP questions I'm asking... it's making this more fun for me on a personal level.

Nice straw man. Perhaps you missed the bit in my very last post where I specifically exempted him from that responsibility:

Fail, because:
  1. Something must be done
  2. This is something
  3. Therefore it must be done
  4. ???
  5. Profit!
Is any of this getting through to you at all?

We will find out if WP can. Lumias only came out at the end of the last quarter. And WP8 is on the horizon, and that is where most of the money will be focused. We will have to wait and see what happens. But seems like you have the crystal ball. Perhaps NOKIA should hire you to make the decisions.

I am glad that we agree on that. NOKIA was in trouble big time before Elop came. He did something and he did it boldly. You clearly dont like the decision, but who cares what you like or dont. There will be Meego apologizers like you and there will be Lumia supporters. At the end of the day it will be, CAN WE MAKE PROFIT. He has 12 months to turn it around. That is all we can say

The 12 months are over. He turned the boat upside-down. And that doesn't swim for long.

I understand that its a shame that Europe will lose a technology giant. Europe has to ask themselves, why are they so attached to iphone and android, and what are they lacking to create such experiences.

The Charge of the Light Brigade was bold, too. You seem unable to distinguish between "productive" and "decisive". These two words signify two completely separate concepts. They are not the same thing. Do you work in sales/marketing by any chance?

No-one cares what I think; I'm just a cranky human being with internet access and an appreciation of technology. However, the market has spoken on WP, and the silence is deafening.

  • ...but Lumia has already failed. Read the news. Visit an AT&T store, if you're in the US.

    To summarise:
  • Normal crystal ball: shows you the future while you are in the present.
  • Lumiaman's Lumia crystal ball: running WP, this unique device shows you the present while you are in the future.

Last year, Elop (and the fanbois) said, 'Well... well... THIS year is gonna suck... but wait a year... you'll see!' And now--it's been MORE than a year and all you can say is, 'we will see in 12 months?'
