Yeah - it unfortunate, as other than the temporary freezes/"applicatio is not responding", Warehouse works very well!

Well, the Warehouse source code is available - anyone willing to help tracing the issue down ? (I'm afraid my C++ level is unfortunately too low for this)

Those sources are for warehouse client, which can be built for multiple target platforms, both harmattan and sailfishos.

Ok. The look and feel are so different with those clients and i only read source not so deeply... If same source works with harmattan and sailfish... Then there should be more great software around... - Ok, there is but still...

Custodian: So the problem is with Sailfish? Because Harmattan -version works perfectly with openrepos? Do You have any idea what is the problem?

I just wanted to put this on the top of todo-list...

After one of the SFOS releases in 2014, packagekit started started to send every package it processes into notification callback, which results in thousands of notification messages being processed by warehouse in qml, which degrades the overall performance. Those should be filtered in c++ to avoid unnecessary calls to qml ui.

I never thought that the problem is in Your code... Problem is in Sailfish-code...

And it is very important to release this kind of information.

Now everyone knows that Warehouse problems with Sailfish are waiting for Jolla...

Thanks Custodian!

Would separating the main GUI thread from the thread processing the notifications from packagekit prevent GUI freezes?

Not that I've ever written anything that complicated, but I read that that's one of the ways to prevent GUI freezes...
