Can someone help me trouble shoot this? The volume buttons on my n900 are not working to control volume. They work for the camera, and they make the click noise when I click them so the hardware is good.
I'm running pr3, and have the over clocking kernel. I'm sure I install something I shouldn't have, but don't know what would have messed with that function.
Any ideas...?
Thanks

What happens when you press them? Any system changes? Have you tried pressing on the clock area (where the volume, internet etc is) and playing around with the volume buttons while that menu is open? It should cause the volume slider to move (thinking maybe that yellow popup is disabled or something).

"What happens when you press them?"
Nothing...just clicking sound. If im in camera mode it zooms

"Any system changes?"
Not sure what you mean by that...

"Have you tried pressing on the clock area (where the volume, internet etc is) and playing around with the volume buttons while that menu is open?"

Ahhh...got it....I think...seems to be working now....I was using Powatool to turn off some of the applets in that area, and had removed "Profile"
The moment I added that back it worked!

Thanks...If you never said that I would have never tried that!
