I'm done with Nokia. If they can't give their customers what they want, when they want......then somebody else will. Ultimately, this detachment that they seem to have from their customers will be their undoing.

I'm really happy with the N900 for the next few years. I refuse to get anxious anymore about all of this.

I'm not too angry at them at the moment but like you i don't see myself getting another device anytime soon seen as the N900 is far superior to any other out there... maybe not in numbers anymore but it still out does even the "higher spec" devices.
That said i will probably be forced into getting an N9 seen as i am due an upgrade soon but i definatly wouldn't pay for one, £500 is a lot of money for a consolation device.
I'm actually tempted by the N8, purely for the camera tho as i'll never soberly get a Symbian device

Haha, I will never get a Symbian again. I got stung with the N97 and I only just rid of it towards the end of last year. I got my N900 back in January. I love it. It does pretty much everything I need it to really well. I can't ask for much more. I think the N900 is a bit of a one off and there will never be another device quite like it.

Never will I get a Symbian again. Ever! Not even if I was drunk. LOL!

Although my opinion of Symbian (now, was great in N95 days) is similar to yours I'd sooner get an E7 than an N9 (if there were no N900s left to buy). IRCing with a vkb is just too big a suckage (I had that with OmniaHD, same omap as N900 with symbian v5)....

I really wanted the N950 to come out when I first heard the rumors. I've been following the new ever since.
But now that I'm using one, I can only agree that the N950 isn't ready for the consumer market. The hardware keyboard is quite hard to slide out. It just doesn't feel as nice as the N900.
Although the rest of the hardware is super nice.
