Not to introduce too much thread creep, but I've had similar problems getting Canola to recognize a flash drive, but I also can't get the default media player to index it (I can play tracks one at a time from it just fine, and examine it with the file manager, too). Has anyone had any luck with that (I'm also using Ogg files).

I ended up using YouAmp, which is nice, but still indexing a 32G drive to update its database.

Since accepting the most recent update of USB Control, my N810 now recognizes and reads from a SanDisk Cruzer 16GB flash drive. I haven't tried writing to the drive. The N810 did not recognize this drive prior to the USB Control update.

A 32GB drive of the same type is also recognized.

Unfortunately these are obnoxious capless flash drives, which retract the USB connector into the body of the unit, leaving the connector's innards vulneralbe to pocket fluff contamination.
