So far detected U-boot installation of Ubuntu 10.10 "in the miscroSD, but not take the time to start and stay in Starting Kernel and off the N900. "U-boot" has time to reset when a "kernel" does not start

-----------------

Does Uboot flash the kernel on each boot//to new os// like Multiboot?

I'm thinking of booting MeeGo "native" for the fun of it (I'm running it via Easy Debain).

u-boot doesn't flash anything.

It loads kernel from many source places (usually SD Card but with correct boot scripts or manually typed commands it can load from other site also) and then it executes kernel passing to it (optionally) boot-args parameters
