I just tried to copy the files to the directory but Midnight Comm keeps telling me permission denied.

Does anyone know why this might be? I have rootish installed so there should be a problem with this should there?

i say try FileBox(more about it here http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=769328&postcount=1), and enable root access.

Thanks humble, that got the files to copy over, but nothing is happening when I run the shortcut. Is there anything else you have to do after copying?

well if /data and Doukutsu.exe are in /opt/nxengine it should work

. try this
open osso-xterm

Code:

go to the dir:(don't put this in cmd)

cd /opt/nxengine

try:(don't put this in cmd)

./nx

if that dosent work
install rootsh then
try:(don't put this in cmd)

sudo ./nx

and they told me it wasn't need.

Edit: the shortcuts going to work now.

Thanks again humble!

This time the installer opened and i pressed a button to start the extraxtion but it failed instantly and the terminal says "failed to open pxt/fxo1.pxt"

I thought that maybe this wasn't copied over so I downloaded the game again and patched it and copied over the new files, but I still get the same error when it tries to extract.

Do you have any more pointers on this?

well
./nx fails instantly (pic)
sudo ./nx works for me.

Ah, I get it, I didnt have sudo turned on. Its working now. Thanks very much for your help humble and for porting this game!

Hmm thats strange, using the shortcut still doesnt work, I have to start it from the terminal every time. Oh well, no big deal

Just figured out the shortcut problem. NXEngine expects to run from /opt/nxengine, or else the art and assets won't load.

You can fix the shortcut by editing the script it calls. Edit /bin/StartNX.sh and change it from:

cd /opt/nxengine
./nx

to the following:

cd /opt/nxengine && ./nx
