Moving my way up Nokia food chain. Started with N95 to E71(had to have a keyboard) now the n900. But I still carry iPod Touch for the apps/podcasts and use E71 with joikuspot for the wifi access if I need it. Also Take a Dell mini9 running OSX with me everywhere. I am hoping that the N900 can pair some of this done.

I will be switching from a Palm Centro, (original Palm OS)

What will I miss from my Centro:
- Outlook Sync: n900 doesn't sync Outlook categories (Pam OS does)
- physical button to switching to silent mode
(I love the fact I can switch my phone to silent mode while in meeting or conversation without having to pull it out. In meetings it is contagious when one starts everyone dose it and it kills the tone in the situation.)
- Ability to operate the phone and MP3 player with gloves on.
- Quick contact lookup by initials (maybe n900 will come through)
- Google maps (its slow but it is all I need - I don't have a data plan)
- Voice Dial

What I get with the n900
- Multitasking, record meeting audio while taking notes.
- WiFi and real web drowsing - and all that comes with it.
- Media assess through the device -v- through the PC onto the device.
- SSH + RDP
- Bigger screen for entertainment (+ Video Out)
- GPS and Map's
- A camera and video recorder that takes acceptable photos.
- A computer!

I currently have my second Android device (Had the ADP1, now I have the Hero), and before that I have been using Windows Mobile since 2002. HTC is almost the only brand Ive had.

What I am going to miss with Android is definitely the lovely integration with Google's services, and the great implementation of Google Maps, etc.

However, I didnt feel I had enough control over my Android device, not even with the ADP1. Sure, it has multitasking, but there's no easy way to control how it works as Android controls it for me. Also, I cant do without a qwerty keyboard, so even though the HTC Hero's on-screen keyboard is nice, its still an on-screen keyboard. Hoping that the N900 will prove to turn out as good as the Touch Pro (2) on the keyboard side..

Nokia 8800 & 8801, i know i kept it and waited and waited til i foundt it->n900.
I passed on n95 to n82 to n96 to n97(i was this>.< close gettin' n97) but
luckily i didn't pulled the trigger.

N900 makes a lot of sense to me since it's the new beginning. And love the
new interface. Looking forward to meet her sooon!

I'm coming from Android G1, and don't want to look back.
I eventually gave the G1 to a friend whose iPhone broke and don't miss it a bit since then.
Before Android, I was a WinMo 5 user.

I have a Nokia 5800 with Symbian S60 3rd and 5th Edition. A great phone, I’ll surely miss handwrite recognition and its amazing size.

I have now Nokia E90 and Nokia 2630. I'm still waiting to receive my preordered N900.
