I just noticed this package and there are no dependent packages. But right now I'm waiting for 7+ days uptime (5 days was 3 minutes before) to check if spontaneous reboots stopped so can't check what it's worth.

It works and I didn't notice any changes in startup or shutdown

I also removed it and didn't even understand what it should do, because nothing changed.
So is this package totally useless? Maybe accidentally shipped?
