Hello,

My N900 is on the way and am really excited about having Linux in my pocket.

I dual boot OpenSolaris and Debian on my home PC and I have compiz enabled in OpenSolaris and I love the interface.

So, I was wondering if something like that can be done on N900 since it has 3D acceleration at hardware level.

Sorry if the idea sounds stupid...

The window manager already does compositing like compiz, that's where all the pretty effects come from. It just doesn't do everything compiz does- which as much as I love compiz I would argue that it's effects are not appropriate for a device like this.

the only thing i would like would be when you go to task manager, for the apps to be set up on a cube, which you could turn with your finger, then another tap on the app of ur choice to expand it. completely less practical than the method used by default but would be lovely on the eyeball.
