Not quite. More like deleting 'Program Files' (vide this as last step of clearing opt/rootfs from MAG linked to by reinob).

to a generic GNU / Linux user, /opt is just... well, just OPTional
nothing the system couldn't run without.
also very odd that /home/opt is mounted on /opt, but that /home/opt doesn't map to a /dev
guess a seasoned Linux user would know better then do any rm -rf but still... Maemo's fs is anything but conform to a Linux fs.
then again, given the hardware constraints, it's probably the closest one might get

Yes I'm a noob, and I came here because I really like my N900 and I simply want to bring back before the mess, and thanks to many users in this forum I've done something impossible to me just 1 day ago, learning.

I'm really sorry that this have offended you.

Anyway, I would like to thank again who helped me bring my N900 back
