Please, I need help! I tried to restart my phone and also to connect it to different USB-ports.
I had this problem when connecting it to a USB-hub.
Connecting directly into a USB-port of the PC did the trick for me.

I've tried to play music throught fmtx while using the vocal guidance.
It's very annoying, since after each message, the notification plugin for mediaplayer show the mp3 tags again and again.

And after a few gps messages, music just wont start playing again, and fmtx then disables itself...

Quite not working as expected so far.

delete them, they are just demo sounds for each language.
once you've set your prefered language and that you dont need to change it.

Easiest way would be this:
- connect the phone to your PC with USB-cable and select "mass storage" -mode
- navigate to (using your pc) N900 internal memory => Drive => Maemo
- open a file called settings.ini with notepad and edit what you want and then save
- unplug the phone from computer

Voila!

Or install some editor to your phone (ie. leafpad) and open that file inside the phone and edit on the road

Dear all!

I just found out something which could be useful for somebody with installation issue.

If your trouble with installation persists, check your language in your phone settings. I changed ma language from Portuguese to English and that was probably the reason of troubles. After setting English everything worked fine!

After installation I switch it back to Portuguese language with no problems!

Application is working fine yet.
