Hi Everyone,

I'm sure a lot's of people will be facing this issue with Flash on N9. I'm trying to stream a live broadcast from Willow TV in YouTube but nothing shows up in Flash view. It's across all the websites. I can't watch any live streams on flash.

If it's a regular video like on YouTube etc, it works fine.

Am I the only one having this issue?

It may be that these live streams are using protected HTTP Dynamic Streaming (PHDS). This protocol is available on Flash Media server 4.5 and newer.

While I have no documentation that PHDS content does not play on Flash 10.1, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case....

Although it may not necessarily solve this particular issue.
Following this thread will be handy for most flash users:

@jalyst, this post talks more about setting up the version of the existing Flash installation, but I feel these sites need the actual higher version. Even after we tweak the version no, still it might not work. Latest Flash version is 11 but we are still on 10.0 on N9.

Correct, which is why I said: "Although it may not necessarily solve this particular issue."
Still, that other thread will be useful in other usage scenarios for flash users.

This is the only Flash version we are getting, take it or leave it. I think we are lucky to get even this version.

This is the same statement we got when N900 was launched... but there are people who put their efforts to build the TweakFlashVer for N900. So I'm expecting something similar will eventually come for N9 also.
