- 15k worth of keyboard casings ordered, should have 95% of all printed parts when that is in
- assembling a few of the latest keyboard pcb tomorrow to check for final order of 1500+ pieces (already 300 here)
- remaking domesheet design this week
- building rig for easy contact pad soldering on toh-cover pcb

etc etc

Great progress!

This touch screen typing experience thing has pushed me so far over the edge that I've glued an iPhone bluetooth keyboard to my TOH:

While it slides, it blocks the camera flash, only works in native Salfish apps, is slow to wake up, lacks ÅÄÖ and is monstrously ugly.

TOHKBD is sure facing some serious competition here!

EDIT:
Also, charging led seems to stay on after charging now, and the area around the USB port feels terribly hot too. I think I'm taking this off my phone.

Thanks for the update!

I know that it probably isn't the final iteration, but how's the typing experience on this? I was relieved to hear the clicking sound, but still worry if it isn't too hard to press individual keys (because I could type much faster on the N900 than you do in this video ).

needs some small adjustment, but also need to build up muscle memory - i assume your typing speed was not that fast of the bat

Great look! Good work!
Any chance to get the onscreen keyboard in fingerterm mode hidden as well?
We can see it's hidden as promided in app mode already...

Would mean we could dream of midnight commander use with real keyboard and fullscreen ;-)

Wonderful so far!!!

Wait, what? Which clicking sounds? Not the press of a key and a horrible cheap "click", right? I didn't hear that, and I hope that's not in the design....
