Yes, it could be any folder. But make sure you create it if it doesn't already exist.

- winpassword: The password that goes along with that username, which in my case is nothing, I didn't set one. Do I need to leave a space here,
If you don't have a password set then omit:
Code:
pass=winpassword,
destip : the LAN-IP of my router? Or the one of the WinPC (if this, how do I find that out?)?
IP address of WinPC. You can find it somewhere in Control panel>Network connections or something (I don't use Windows much)

Everything correct?
I think the last option
Code:
direct
should be
Code:
directio
(according to my manpage for mount.cifs)

Hmmm..

All I did is this:
  1. Set up DNS to give my n900 the host name "n900" when connected to WIFI
  2. Set up ssh public key authentication
  3. Open "fish://root@n900/" in file manager (dolphin)

..I guess you have to use Linux/KDE for this, but it doesn't get much simpler.

Hello all,
I use tinysmb at my work office and so far I managed to send files from the ubuntu desktop computer to the phone using nautilus and the IP of the cellphone.

smb://192.198.1.100

Firefox did not work, but I can't complain
Great app
Thank you!
