I got my latest and last n900 from HK last week.
it came with a garbage kingtston 4gb microsdhc card so beware
but I checked out my latest n900 it didnt have the latest firmware on it so I flashed it then something odd happened I didnt have happen before some keys were mistyping I went to settings and input iirc
the keyboard was set to something other than english(netherlands?)
easy fix but dont recall having this happen before.

anyone else experience this?

Yeah, sounds like a Dutch device with a replaced housing and an English after-market keyboard. Flashing restores all original settings including the locale. No biggie, all you need to do is change your locale/keyboard/etc settings after flashing.
