My mplayer wont play .flv files. Does anyone else have this problem, or know why it won't work?

How did you test that? Which mplayer? What platform?

The internal media player doesn't support flv. However mplayer supports it. Why don't you just use mytube or Canola?

Canola Youtube plugin downloads flv and plays it. I don't know if the scanner indexes .flvs though.

Also what resolution are you trying to play?

i can play a .flv from mplayer, but canola does not see it...
i guess it is the indexing issue mentioned above.

I just renamed all my flvs to "moviename.flv.MPG" by just using mv from x-term (or you could use the emel filemanager that's in extras, I think?)
