I have the GPE version 2.8+maemo+svn20080114-2

Now I try to update it to 2.8+maemo+svn20081212-3 by navigating to maemo.org and clicking install. The software installer lists missing dependencies, and the upgrade fails.

Is there a way to make this work?

Or is there any better calendar available for n810 that syncs with Google calendar? mCalendar is not good enough.

I had the same problem yesterday evening. Had to add/enable the extra-devel repository in the repository list in order to satisfy all dependencies. I wouldn't recommend doing it if you are not very familiar of how this works. Better to wait until the developers sort it out.

On the other hand, if you really need the information, then I can post the procedure...

i tried to update GPE calendar through the application manager, but that failed as the update was "not installable." After that, I could no longer open GPE calendar on my n810 at all, so I re-flashed my device. Now i cannot install GPE calendar from maemo.org or from the application manager. This is extremely frustrating since I have grown rather dependent on my n810.

If somebody knows of a fix, i would be extremely appreciative.

Now Canola2 is having the same, apparently temporary issue...

ps. I might still switch to mCal as soon as it starts to sync through proxy...

This was after enabling the extra-devel repository?
And the updated GPE works for you?

Living in intense fear of losing my working GPE calendar...
