Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper just to get a tin of white car spray paint and do it with that...don't forget to put some tissue over the screen though otherwise you won't be able to see it working after.

i can see the point in the chrome, mine has a scratch on my black bevel/bezel (black edge round screen) and would like to change this. but the whole white casing just looks s#€t and cheap.

I bought mine some time ago. And as of today, remains White with no signs of scratch 
The only thing different from those housing replacements are:
1. The Cellmo Ant
2. The Gps
They were just plastics, I replaced them wiht the originals.

still missing a white keyboard and a white front (screen)
and i have the same cover but i do not want to put it on since it feels cheap....
but at some point im buying a real GENUINE cover and painting it myself or getting someone i know to paint it.
i would really like another color, like the black but would really like GOLD
, i know it's cheesy but i like my N900 and this would be the way to show it
