But didn't Texrat say that it was just one image for N800 and N810? As in Device Detection and all?

I'm going to try it anyway. If it bricks my N800 i can always tell Nokia that Texrat told me it was safe.

Best bet would be to extract the individual parts of the FIASCO image and try flashing them separately.

Right. Unless it needs some newer version of bootloader (it feeds some data to kernel at startup) there is some chance it will work. Flashing RX-44 bootloader from the FIASCO image sounds like a paperweight way :-)

I am pretty sure that just running the linux flasher will work. It's is the same flasher binary as usual, so I am pretty sure it won't make any check.
