Hi!
at some time ago, my keyboard leds stopped working, and i think the problem is with the magnetic sensor.
with the command:

cat /proc/kmsg

there's no output with "slide (GPIO 71)..." when i open or close the keyboard.
So, i opened my phone and didn't find nothing wrong, and made some tests with other n900, from mine friend.

if i take only my motherboard out and replace with mine friend's m.b., the lighs works.

so, the problem is with my motherboard, because the leds are working(tested with one app).

and the question is: the magnetic sensor is in the motherboard? if yes, where is? maybe some image?

thanks a lot!!

ps: sorry about the english, i'm from brazil..

how can i fix it, or buy another one?
ps: Don't have nokia repair in my state, so i have to do this for myself..

Actually, my keyboard light stopped working as well..
My slide (GPIO 71) is toggled properly when opening/closing the keyboard, but there is still no light.. Any ideas?

i've seen in other posts that the fix is taking off the battery, plugin the wall charger(without battery), wait a while, disconnect charger and then put battery back.. did you tried this?

if this doesn't work, maybe reflashing the device in last case could solve!
