Hi all,

I've created a blog post on how to export your N9 text messages to a PC backup, maybe you've seen it and used it.
Now, I text quite a bit, and as the amount of messages increases - so does the battery drain.

My running theory is that the indexing service is somehow being bogged down by the text messages.
Yesterday, my idle power consumption had reached approximately 40 mA's. I exported my messages and my idle consumption is now at 12mA's again.

Can anyone confirm this?

Deleting all your messages should also be able to confirm or deny whether this is a reproducible thing.
This has happened the last three times I've exported my text messages from my N9, so I think I can safely say that there is a correlation. My last export was for approximately 4.500 text messages. (sent and received combined.)

Just a thought =)

yes, that should be it, but i don't believe in that big amount.
tracker shouldn't use that much power to reindex databases...
but 4.5K messages will at least slow you down heavily

I was at 79mA when I exported close to 6000 text messages. The only difference is the amount of text messages on the device. I don't reboot my device prior to or after the export process.
