HI.

yesterday i had copied some mp3 files from my PC (XP) to N900, However, the mp3 files were hidden.

when i was checking these files in N900 i couldn't find in file manager or Media player.!!

but i see them through Xterminal normally.

any help to how change the hidden option from the files by N900. or it is must to change it in windows first?

Thanks

try
chmod 664 /home/MyDocs/.images/*
if you copied the images to .images - folder in the first place

or do the files have a dot before the filename?

It's a vfat volume! Chmod doesn't mean anything there.

Look up fatattr command. Not sure if it's available in N900, however, but it is used under linux to change vfat file's attributes.

Hello there,

There are some file browser which handle hidden files.

I personnaly like and use FileBox, but free for you to chose any other.

Do not forget to activate hidden files in file explorer settings!

I'd say the simplest way is to attach the phone to a Windows machine and unhide the files and folders recursively. I assume you wanted to hide them on your PC from the prying eyes of your colleagues and/or boss, but you do need that on your phone.
