right ive got msn plug in and now the facebook chat plug in and they work great over wifi but i cant log into them over 3g im on t mobile uk. I am guessing that T mobile are blocking the port is there a work around to get it working over 3G?

If you're on T-Mobile PAYG, I believe they block IM traffic for whatever asinine reason, probably to encourage you to use SMS more (though as you get free SMS with a 10 pounds a month top-up the logic doesn't really seem to work 
)
Also, in my experience it's not straightforward to find the terms and conditions for PAYG internet use on their site.
And while I'm at it, they also seem to have a habit of blocking random sites because they may contain unmoderated chat, unless you configure your credit card in your online account. And then, apparently, when you do do this, they still randomly block the occasional site for the same reason.. <sigh>.

first get age verified. if you are not sure go to a pr0n site from your phone to see if it opens. if it doesn't you need to get age verified.
afaik they block skype but not sure about msn. you can try web method on msn plugin advanced settings
