I placed an order for a rubberized case from a vendor recommended on this site, has anyone had any experience with rubberized cases for the N900? The aluminum case looks somewhat bulky, what do you guys think of the rubberized case?

By the way, items from Pdair.com ship from Hong Kong (!) and the shipping time which was stated AFTER my purchase is up to 8 weeks! If I knew it was this long I would have considered other options.

Hmm, I bought he same one from ebay from the US. It came with three different case, I got to choose from different colors. I got, white, black, and blue and it was only like 7$ with free shipping.

It has said to scratch the metal bezel, I just wrapped a thin layer of elecrical tape around it and put the case on top, works perfect. I definately reccomend this case, I've dropped my n900 before twice with this case on, definitely worth the investment.

Sorry to have to say this, but the (most probably) exact same cases ship from Hong Kong for $4 or $5.

Besides the fact that you overpaid by about %300, the cases themselves work as advertised, but make the N900 feel cheap and clunky, IMO. I had mine on for about a week or so, and I missed the dangerously slippery but still satisfyingly silky feel of the real unit.

I had to take it off when I got my soft fabric case,

since it was an astonishingly tight fit and there wasn't even room for the extra bulk of the platic case. Now the case sits on my desk, unloved and also unmissed. I suppose if I ever drop the N900 and it gets scrtatched, I'll regret it, but not having a cheap plastic covering on the unit up until that point will probably make it OK. Possibly.

I must agree there. I got three for under a tenner IIRC from eBay. My phone has dropped a few times. Worst case scenario, the case will break. Oh well. I really don't mind them.

Unrelated thread but I have pics of what it looks like with the case here:

It looks like I certainly did overpay by 300%, but I hope the case is good!

(Hopefully that'll make up for the price...)

Does anyone have more pictures of the case on their phones?

Thanks!

i purchased this its good and looks nice, only thing is i dont use the unlock slide anymore i just double click the power button, this because the sides of the case is too thick so its hard to slide the unlock button.
