To all that can make a difference...

Is it possible for the N900 to get it be a gsm signal scrambler ( GSM, CDMA, DCS PHS, and 3G signals - separately or all at once) - of course small range radius....?

feel free to jump in with your beliefs...

Goodbye battery life!
And no, you can't scramble anything other than FM, BT, WiFi, 2G, 2.5G, 3G and 3.5G, because you don't have the radios for it.

Just build one - it's cheap enough.

Isn't 2G and family GSM?

Anyway, AFAIK we don't have access to the cell modem, can just talk indirectly thru the mostly undocumented proprietary closed driver, or somthing.

I'm interested in direct access to the cellular modem... for the purpose of peer-to-peer cellular network. Even if the distance between peers is small... it would be useful in dense, tight-knit community.
Best wishes.
