I remember the game N (with the little bouncy ninja) http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/n.html, where you could download an executeable with an embedded flash file.

Till now I've only see this for Windows and Mac, but no Linux version of executable flash files.

Do anyone know why there hasen't been made one for Linux?
Because it dosen't seem like it's totally dependant on Adobe, as I've seen several 3rd party programs being able to compile executeables.

The reason I'm asking about this, is that it would surely help to bring more games to the N900 and make it stand out as a gaming platform, where more flash devs would consider releasing to it, if they diden't have to learn a new language as Python/C++ to code for Maemo. And lets face it, you can make some wicked games with flash

A game like the platformer, Star Guard http://http://vacuumflowers.com/star...tar_guard.html is awesome, but sadly lacks a Linux version, but I'm sure it would play very well on a N900.

The other posibility is to make "our" (by our, I mean a community made, as my coding skills is not up for that atm) own swf player, which is then bundled with a swf file, and perhaps putting an "interpretation layer" inbetween, making it possible to remap the arrow keys, to i.e.
T Y U
G _ I
B N M
and thus mimicing a numeric keypad, making i.e. jumping up/right a bit more easy, and also interpret the stylus as a cursor and the stylus (touching the screen) + Z equals a left click.

The key setup would/could ofcourse vary from game to game and be included in a xml/config file that would come with each game, and maybe even be configurable through a control panel, but UI speculation is ofcourse, way too early now.

Any thoughts/flaming on this?
