Oh, I was never aware of that, KP 49? What changed frequency schemes are there?
I am browsing the KP thread now actually.

I've successfully installed and get the package to run. I've to manually created the ker folder before the reg file and userbuilt file can be written in it. Anyway thanks ammyt. One more question, before I created the ker folder, the package actually load the userbuilt file under root. Is there any way to delete the userbuilt file under root?

No!
The userbuilt and reg files are created in
/usr/share/kernel-power-settings

Ok, so with the new one, everything in the GUI is ok, i can configure a profile and tell which one to use in active profile.

But, i still have some issue,.

I select the hdbat profile which i copied to /usr/share/power-kernel-settings.

Now, i reboot the phone and the profile is set properly.
I open the keyboard and lock/unlock the phone, the Profile is still the same.
Then i close the keyboard and lock/unlock the phone, now i have the stock nokia profile active. I can try whatever i want, but this profile stay active once it loads.

I made another test for the vfs pressure patch, i reload the hdbat profile and use this command to put a random value for vfs_pressure:
echo 1000 >> /proc/sys/vm/vfs_cache_pressure

now, with keyboard open and after lock/unlock the phone, i do this:
cat /proc/sys/vm/vfs_cache_pressure

result is 1000...

another test, i close the keyboard and lock/unlock the phone, then:
cat /proc/sys/vm/vfs_cache_pressure

result is 10 and stay at this value no matter what i do. Unless i reboot the phone.

I check which profile is active with the kernel-config show command.
Also, i am using karam's patch for the time being (this means, until i can make your script work ^^) and it works properly...

regards

are you sure you aren't using the old patch - ammyt updated it last night including patches to a working version. You are experiencing the exact issues i had prior to updating to the latest patch posted a few posts back last night?

You are unfortunate then, as I believe that most are OK up to 805 but not higher.....

Freemangordon seems to have cracked the SR issue in the latest KP49 testing version, at least for me.

Hey, ammyt, excuseme but I want to load Optimum profile when active (that's 'reg' on /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/ if I've understood ok).

Then I want to load Life Doubler when idle and here is my noob-problem...

What I have to choose on /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/???

There I have: boot, default, dsp, ideal, lv, reg, starving, ulv, xlv...

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: And I think it would be good idea to go to /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/ folder by default in zenity to avoid to type the path every time.

Keep the good work, bro!
