You can get word prediction by hooking into the input method API, IIRC.

could word prediction also make the keys for possible next letter grow like in the iPhone? Now that would be neat.

I'm seriously so tired of everyone trying to imitate Apple's UI. I would much rather have applications that integrated tighter and better into Maemo's interface instead.
