Well, at least in the main room, some way to connect the devices to the projection will be neat . Show the OS/apps in the big screen is very impressive for the audience .

Sure, making good use of the TVOut in the N900 is a requirement.

But Mox was asking for more things?

Hmmm... maybe we can come up with a generic template (I don't mind designing one) and let attendees design their own around it if they like? And otherwise default to the standard.

Question: will there be clear badge holders provided, and if so, what size?

maemo.org lanyards are in it's way. Size I will let you know once it's decided. We are talking of using an A4 folded twice to contain name (in both sides), map (half page) and schedule (full page). This might be too big so a possibility would be to fold it three times.

Feel free making your tests at home and giving your opinion. We are discussing this right now.

I have several badge holders from prior events. Here are the various sizes of the inserts (horizontal x vertical):

9 cm x 5.5 cm (vertical can go up to 6.5 cm)

10.5 cm x 7 cm (from Helsinki Cognos training-- vertical can go to 7.5 cm)

10 cm x 6.5 cm

10.5 cm x 7.75 cm

looks like around 10 cm x 7 cm is average...

EDIT: Nokia temporary badge holder-- 9 cm x 5 cm (can be 5.5)

I'd actually like to see bigger than these if possible, but I understand that folding A4 only comes out to certain dimensions.

Still, it's be nice to see something around 17.8cm x 12.7cm.

You should see how the 10.5 cm x 7.75 cm looks on a body. It's big. Any bigger and we're in Geek Central.

Oh wait--

No, really, the sizes you posted are good, only if the type is HUGE. Doing something that's closer to 5"x7" seems appropriate. But, I should probably hang a note card around my neck and look in a mirror before I say any more.

Forget geek-- we'll look like paparazzi.

Seriously, I'm confused-- the sizes I listed are smaller than 5" x 7"... so why would the type need to be huge? If anything big type would make more sense on a bigger format...
