How about Opera Mini 8, is that newer that Opera Mobile 12?

Anyway I give hint how you can download from official link and make it almost work in full screen:
- Go to m.opera.com with N900 with Opera Mobile (not any another browser) you get right download link to file mini.jad.
- It needs J2ME enviroment, that you get most easily install MicroEmulator with Application Manager.
- Set at MicroEmulator to fullscreen: -Options -Select device -Resizable device
- Open mini.jad, click start. Keyboard works, but don't write / with keyboard, it works like del (at least in finnish-keyboard).

But it says connection closed. Has anybody make it work with network?

I do not know that, never tried opera mini 8; opera mobile 12 is perfect for my n900. But I do not use it as an everyday device.

reCAPTCHA does not support Opera Mini (or any other Presto engine based browser) as well so this likely won't be a solution. At least - not ultimate.
This approach might be used as a workaround for some extent as the website might see different request source IP (at least if website is not prepared to handle "X-Forwarded-For" HTTP header containing true source IP address) and may pass user on without requiring to solve the reCAPTCHA.
On the other hand Opera Mini IPs are shared by many clients so they might look suspicious as well.

The other idea that came to my mind was to create an extension or some JavaScript user script or bookmarklet to use a captcha solver service to bypass it.

So are Maemo 5 users the robots for reCaptcha, because we don't go shop and buy those Android phones like robots?

In current situation not to be able to use reCaptcha is proof. With Maemo Leste it may be possible to use and then not being able to use is not a proof for or against ones robotness.

In case anyone is interested in any way to solve the reCAPTCHA directly on the MicroB, Opera 12 or other officially unsupported browsers I have created a simple proof-of-concept captcha solver bookmarklet which can be used also on these browsers.
It uses 9kw Captcha solving service as a way to workaround. I chose this service because it allows the user to earn points for free (for solving Captchas) which can be later spent using the bookmarklet.
https://mp107.ct8.pl/upload/20191212...let-master.zip

In general these kind of services are being considered rather harmful because they allow to workaround a security measure (captcha) but this one use case seems to be a fair use so I decided to publish it.
